Economic down turn provides growth for Piccadilly Backpackers

The global economic crisis has affected most business sectors in one way or another, the reach has been global and in some economies, devastating. No matter what industry you are in, the recession is here!! We have noted that our traditional demographics have changed from 18-35 to a more spread age demographic; the traditional young travelers will always be the back bone of our client base but the Central European client base has grown due to the strength of the Euro against the GB pound and the new phenomenon of European families and business clients staying in budget accommodation rather than expensive hotel rooms. All our clients want to get to London as cheaply as possible, stay in a central well located property as ours located at Piccadilly Circus and in the best tourist location within Central London. We provide the best value for the most centrally located budget accommodation facility in London. Our clean and secure property extends over 6 floors and our friendly international staff provides our guests with a wealth of knowledge to help you plan your stay.
We look forward to looking after you and remember not are we the most centrally located Super Hostel in London; we are the only facility large enough to cater for multiple groups. www.piccadillybackpackers.com

PB's Charity of Choice:

Many of us have been touched in some way or another by the devastating effects of cancer. Our choice of charity was not difficult especially when seeing the plight and bravery of children dealing with the illness. We proud to donate to the world's leading charity dedicated to beating cancer; their research has been at the heart of the progress that has seen survival rates for cancer double in the last 30 years.
Too many lives are still devastated by cancer and their work is vital, our donations go some way closer to helping them progress their work which is funded entirely by the public – please donate:

Soho and our Community:

Piccadilly Backpackers draws in over 500 new people a day into our facilitate many of which use the many services, shops and tourist attractions in and around Soho area. As an integral component of the local community Piccadilly Backpackers has been a member of the Soho Society since 2006. The Soho Society was formed in 1972 "to make Soho a better place in which to live, work or visit." Within a few months it had gained formal consultative status with Westminster City Council on all planning, licensing, traffic and environmental matters. Very soon the Society persuaded Westminster City Council to make Soho a Conservation Area - thus preventing the demolition and the consequent loss of the existing residential and business communities. Then as now the principal aims of the Soho Society are to protect the interests of residents and businesses and to enhance the environment which we all share.

Project: Hostels Art

Open to artists and designers. Piccadilly opened up a new design concept in 2005 inviting all artists to commission a room, it was a totally a new initiative to expose and allow upcoming artists & designers the opportunity to display their works inside a young, youthful environment that accommodates travellers from around the world. The Hostel Art project has virtually no boundaries, meaning that artists and designers are free to design the room how they would like, keeping in mind that it will also be lived in. The Art project has continued and expanded from the 3rd Floor across the whole hostel, now even finding its way up the stairwells.

If you are keen to find out more about the initiative please go to www.hostelart.com or email info@piccadillybackpackers.com
